Because our market policy is to meet our customers’ needs 100 per cent, Gevacril has made enormous efforts to improve every single process in the manufacture of its products.
\nDIN (German Institute for Standardisation) and ASTM (American Society for Testing and Materials) are the most internationally renowned standardisation institutes. They have long experience in the field of plastic products and perform tests based on a set of standard regulations that all products must comply with in order to achieve good market quality.
\nWe know that our products fully comply with the standard regulations set by these two institutes, however, in order to show you the manufacturing process that leads to our excellent quality, we have decided to provide you with all the necessary information. The conclusion of this process is the implementation of our Quality System (QDS) for all Gevacril\u00ae products. This is complemented by dozens of certifications and approvals, as well as a document certifying our commitment to a sustainable economy.<\/div><\/div>[\/vc_column][vc_column width=”1\/3″]

Quality Description System (QDS)<\/h2><\/div>
DIN and ASTM are the most famous internationally renowned institutes of standardization that set on experience and tests based on a series of standard norms which the products have to meet in order to reach a high quality market. We know that all our products meet the severe standard norms set from these two institutes, but in order to show you the process that leads to our excellent quality we decided to put it down: the result is the\u00a0QUALITY DESCRIPTION SYSTEM (QDS)<\/b>\u00a0which we wrote also in accordance with DIN EN ISO 9001: every product has to respect all control criteria of the QDS before its quality is approved.<\/p>\n

Besides our semi-finished products in PMMA complies with the appropriate FOOD REGULATION, COMMISSION DIRECTIVE 90\/128\/EEC, and FDA REGULATION 21 CFR \u00a7 177.1010 and are manufactured according to the plastic supplier’s specifications.<\/p>\n

Recycling & Environmental Aspects<\/h2><\/div>
The European Green Deal<\/a> is Europe’s roadmap for making the EC economy sustainable. This will happen by turning climate and environmental challenges into economic opportunities. We at Gevacril Acrylics firmly believe that we can make a contribution to this change and are fully aware of our social responsibility and our responsibility towards future generations.<\/p>\n

Semi-finished acrylics from Gevacril Acrylics are used to create high-quality, long-life articles (Long Life Cycle). They are therefore environmentally friendly and are not dispersed into the environment, but mechanically or chemically recycled and 100% reused.<\/p>\n

In 2020, GEVACRIL\u00ae introduced to the market Clean-Sky\u00ae tubes<\/a>, acrylic tubes made from 100% recycled MMA. After years of research and development, investment in a new polymerisation station, Gevacril\u00ae – the first company in the world to offer this type of product – is able to produce a 100% recycled methacrylate resin and offer a product range qualitatively identical to semi-finished products made from ‘virgin’ resin.<\/p>\n

In 2023, Gevacril Acrylics invested in a photovoltaic plant for the production of approx. 200,000 KWh\/year of renewable energy. The start-up of this plant will enable an almost carbon-neutral production of the Green PMMA<\/em><\/a> products and for the extrusion lines of pmma pipes<\/a> and rods<\/a>.<\/p>\n

The United Nations in their dossier published in 1987 introduced the concept of “sustainable development,” development that meets the needs of the present without compromising the ability of future generations to meet their own needs.
